After many years with realizations of intercultural art and sculpting projects, O.G. Mapho shows a new working field “spheres“.

The work has a focus on the slowing and recollection. Perhaps some pictures are becalming, could help to activate our natural opposites to the socially hyped speed, consumer-boulimia and dumbing mechanisms.

Concerning this, only two proposals - try to observe and feel INDEPENDANT ...and... SLOW DOWN.

Learn from others, but do not consume opinions - originally we are no RUMINANTS.

The edition materials fullfill museum standards. The artist editions are limited, hand-signed and numbered with certificate. Works with signing P&M are unique. Other series has in minimum gallery quality with personal Indent-Number.

Why art-works under pseudonym or acronym? I don't see the „spheres“ as part of my other work areas. They tell their own story.

In sphere II - paint & structure, some works are realized in group projects with other artists to get new combinations of different technics. Mixing analogue and digital, photography and painting or collage parts of silk-screen prints and video screens. My art fellows use pseudonyms to prevent possible problems with guidelines or wishes of their art dealers.

Anonymity has also another advantage - it’s rare that an artist gets really helpful feedback of his audience - for most people it‘s annoying to give a direct and true critic (equal if positive or negative). But as unknown visitor you can ask or provoke real opinions from other visitors. We used this tactic in several exhibitions.

For all these reasons I present the “sphere works“ under pseudonym O.G. MAPHO and hope for your acceptance. The works are thus neither better nor worse, depending on the speculation levels only cheaper or more expensive.
